Well almost no one Honors a 1 vs 1 fight these days. Thy always have a Remote Repair gang on stand by and you never get a 1 vs 1 in the end. So i propose new mechanic that allows us to get a fair 1 vs 1 Fight. After all PVP stands for Player Vs Player and not Player Vs PlayerS. I want assurance that if i engage in a fight it will be only 1 vs 1 and no me vs many. And i think this is a fail suggestion. |

Dont you guys think this will bring FUN back to the SOLO player? How many 1 man corporations are aout there. How many players that dont like the politics of being part of a large corp or alliance. We still want to have fun in the for of PVP but aint getting it cause there is no Implemented System that ensures us a fair 1 vs 1 fight. I think many people would like this and it will make game FUN and PVP accessible for the SOLO player. And if wanting to have fun in PVP all by my self is wrong then whats the point of playing Eve if u cant do it SOLO. I dont like depending on others to success. |

I strongly believe that a 1 vs 1 PVP system will make Game More FUN. Eve is a social game basicaly YOU cant do everything all by your self. And maybe just maybe if we had the chance to do this SOLO it would make EVE more interesting for new comers. |

I do roam LOW sec a lot but i always find my self Outnumbered. So whats the point on roaming low sec or null if people dont fight alone. I have even try to fit ships to hold agro from 2 or 3 people just to get my self enought time to get a kill before I pop. My point is that in Eve PVP donst work for the Solo Guy if you want to be succesfullin PVP in eve u need Numbers. And thats not a FAIR for everyone. |

Its true that some will try to exploit it, Its true that some will rage about it. But i bet my Acount that the acceptance will be Much Greater than the negative feedback. Im Sure of this. And there is a reason for that. PEOPLE ENJOY SUCCESS MORE WHEN ITS ACHIEVED ALONE. |

In this game there should be a way to demostrate who is the better pilot, but the truth is that it dosnt exist. Success in Eve Online is measured by how many friends you have by your side rather than how good a pilot you are. I just would like to see a way for single pilot to be measured against another pilot in a fair way, but to be honest i dont see it happening. All i can see is people afraid of the idea that 1 pilot can demostrate that he is better than You under same circunstances. |

Its simple mechanics:
1. Invite to Duel tab.
2. Duel accept window with the traditional advise.
3. Both duelers lockdown (Cant be targetted by any other players during Duel).
4. A 15 minute timer (In case non of the duelers cant break each others tank, after 15 minutes Flag goes down).
5. Finally a green wreck only lootable by Duel winner. |

I can already think of a multitude of ways this would be abused, people 'dueling' to get through gate camps, hell, an entire fleet could have dual buddies and if they are trapped/don't like the odds just form up duals and move past the enemy fleet with 0 risk, or if you are about to die form up a dual with your alt. Besides that people in high-sec 'dueling' 24/7 with their alt so that no-one can touch them, or in any space for that matter. It would mean absolute safety in high, low and nullsec whenever you want. You could fix some of these exploits but never all of them. Besides that it's completely against the philosophy of the game, which is you are never safe anywhere. If you want some 1v1's that are almost always honored try this: 1. Join Red vs Blue, they have a strict agreed upon 1vs1's must be honored rule, and will kick people from corp who break the rule. 2. Ask for a 1vs1 in a low-sec, if someone agrees, fleet up with them, and have it at your own safe spot. No-one can warp to him, if he drops fleet leave as he's warping his friends in, but that takes time.
You can only Duel in empire (Hi SEC) mate and cant jump gates if in a duel either |
